Will 2400W overload my sockets?
A single 2400W iron is within the rating of a standard Kenyan 13A socket. What you should avoid is running it on the same extension cable as another high-draw appliance such as a kettle or heater. Plug it into a wall socket directly where you can.
Is it worth paying more than for the 2200W SI-2406?
If you regularly iron heavy fabric — kitenge, curtains, denim, duvet covers — yes, because of the faster heat recovery and the extra dry mode. For everyday shirts and uniforms, the SI-2406 is already ample and the SI-2411 is more iron than you need.
