Is a polished soleplate better than a nonstick one?
They suit different things. Polished plates glide very freely and are easy to keep clean, which helps on detailed work. Nonstick plates are more forgiving on synthetics at higher settings. For collars, cuffs and pleats the polished plate on the SI-402 is the better tool.
Is it heavy enough for creased cotton?
