Will it iron a shirt as well as a full-size iron?
For a shirt or two, yes. The soleplate is smaller, so a full basket of laundry takes noticeably longer — this is designed as a second iron for travel, not as the only iron in the house.
Does it work outside Kenya?
It is built for 240V mains. Most of East Africa, the UK, the Gulf and India run compatible voltage — you will simply need the right plug adapter. Do not use it on a 110V supply, such as in the United States, without a proper voltage converter.
